April 2019 Charity Breakfast

The Knights of Columbus are hosting their next charity breakfast on Sunday, April 7 from 8:30-11:30am in the Brown- McCarthy Auditorium. This month’s beneficiary will be the Fellowship Square Foundation (https://www.fellowshipsquare.org.) Since 1960, the Fellowship Square Foundation has helped Washington, DC area older adults and people with disabilities live in places where their physical, social and spiritual needs are met every day. For those with limited income and resources, the high rents typical to the Washington, DC area make it difficult to find affordable housing. Their four communities provide well managed, safe and attractive apartment living for 780 people who meet income criteria set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Two of their four facilities are in Reston, one in the Lake Anne area and the other in Hunters Woods. The Foundation plans to start renovation of the Hunters Woods facility by year-end, and will be starting on the construction of a large new facility at Lake Anne within a year. Your donations will enable the Foundation to provide more modern, safe and comfortable environments for their residents. Bring your appetites and perhaps a few neighbors or friends!
