December 8, 2019, Charity Breakfast
The Knights of Columbus are holding our next charity breakfast on Sunday, December 8, from 8:30 - 11:30 AM in the Brown-McCarthy Auditorium. Your free-will offering will support the Fatima Community in Washington DC.
This organization provides transitional housing and other services to the homeless with special needs and/or experiencing post traumatic stress. It is run by the Brothers of Charity who seek to create a small, inclusive and integrated community of belonging and healing. Living in homes with their guests, the Brothers encourage the homeless to discover new perspectives on life, rebuild self-confidence, take initiative for their lives, and develop a spirit of self-reliance and solidarity. Fatima Community opened in 2017, and has supported a total of 42 guests, 34 of whom have been unemployed, 13 of whom have no health insurance, 19 of whom are mentally challenged, and 24 have legal or document challenges.
Please join the Knights and your friends for a wonderful breakfast and to help this outstanding organization.
