Knights of Columbus Family of the Month, August 2018, Wayne Weeks Family
It is with great pleasure the Family of Man Council announces the Wayne Weeks family as Family of the Month for August 2018.
Wayne and his family have a long history with the Knights of Columbus. Wayne’s father and uncle were both Knights and his wife's godfather is a Past Grand Knight. Wayne joined the Order in 1996.
The Weeks family joined St. John Neumann Parish in 1995 and have been very active parishioners. Wayne is a 3rd Degree Knight, and has taught Religious Ed for many years at SJN. With Wayne's leadership and the Council's help, the Knights provided volunteer assistance to the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia's (DSANV) annual Buddy Walk since it started more than a dozen years ago.
Caroline is a Cantor at SJN and a part of the funeral choir. She has also been a Religious Ed teacher for a number of years.
Justin was an altar server for 8 years. He is an Eagle Scout and is currently a graduate student in Digital Production Arts at Clemson University.
Leo is in the SJN children's choir, and participated in the living Stations of the Cross. He graduated from St. Mark Catholic School in Vienna, and will be attending Oakton High School in the fall.
Congratulations Weeks family!
