Knights Support Down Syndrome Association Buddy Walk

On Sunday October 2, 2016, five of our Knights and three family members volunteered to assist at the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia's annual DSANV Buddy Walk®.

Funding from the Buddy Walk allows the DSANV to provide individuals with Down syndrome and their families with educational, financial, medical, legal and social support and resources.

The Family of Man Council has provided volunteer assistance to this event since it began 12 years ago.

Novena for Our County

In preparation for Election Day, the Knights of Columbus is calling its members and all the faithful to join together in a novena to the Holy Trinity through the maternal intercession of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of the United States.

Join your brother Knights around the nation for this novena, beginning on Sunday, Oct. 30, and concluding on Monday, Nov. 7. The prayer for the novena can be found HERE.

Italian Dinner Night

On Monday, November 21, the Family of Man Council of the Knights of Columbus are hosting an Italian Dinner in the Brown-McCarthy Auditorium to help raise funds for its Knights of Columbus Scholarship Program. A great dinner is planned with traditional dishes being served from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

Educational Program: Breaking the Myths of Alcohol Addition

On Sunday, October 23, from 6:30-8:00pm, the Saint John Neumann parish is offering “Breaking the Myths of Alcohol Addiction”, a valuable educational program for young and old. Addiction experts from Caron Treatment Center have been invited to help us explore the myths, to help us become more aware of our own behaviors and risk factors, and to become better educated to many important aspects of this disease the CDC lists as the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S.
