Sir Knight Loren Biegler Joins the 4th Degree

On Saturday, November 11th, Brother Loren Biegler advanced to the 4th Degree of the Order at an Exemplification held in Portsmouth, VA. Sir Knight Loren was escorted by the Worthy Faithful Navigator of the Elizabeth Bayley Seton Assembly #1781, SK Everett Barnes, and witnessed by FOM Council Grand Knight, SK Bob Balog. On this Veterans Day, SK Loren, Commander-USN Retired, was accompanied by his lovely wife, Donna, at the celebratory banquet held that evening. Over 150 Knights from across the State of Virginia were exemplified at the ceremony. Congratulations, Sir Knight!

Memorial Mass for Our Deceased Brother Knights

On Tuesday, November 7th, the Knights conducted a Memorial Mass to remember the 28 deceased Brothers of the Council and all departed Knights. The Mass was held in the SJN de Sales Chapel and our Chaplain, Fr. Don Heet, was the Celebrant, assisted by our Brother, Deacon Atanacio Sandoval. Knights also served in every ministry for the Mass and in the Elizabeth Bayley Seton Assembly Color Corps that participated. Family members and friends of our deceased Brothers were also present.

Italian Dinner Fundraiser for Scholarships, Oct 24

On Tuesday, October 24, the Knights will host an Italian Dinner in the Brown-McCarthy Auditorium with traditional dishes from 5:00 to 7:30pm. The menu includes Macaroni and Cheese, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Meatless Baked Ziti, Chicken Piccata, Garden Salad, Dinner Rolls and, of course, dessert. We are hosting this dinner to raise funds for the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Program for graduating high school seniors and students already in college, to help defray the high costs of higher education. Your donations will be most welcomed.

Sterling Columbus Day Parade

Knights of Northern Virginia led the 36th Annual Sterling (VA) Columbus Day Parade on October 7, 2017. Eighteen Sir Knights in full Service Regalia provided the Color Guard to start the parade. Our very own Sir Knight Chris Yorke participated in the commemoration of the spirit of Faith, Leadership and Love of our noble patron, Christopher Columbus. Congratulations to all our Brothers who demonstration our Order’s principle of Patriotism.
