On Saturday, November 16th, a dedicated group of Knights from the Family of Man Council #7566 rolled up their sleeves to give back to their community. The Knights volunteered their time and efforts to maintain and improve the landscape and interior of two Gabriel Homes properties in Reston. These homes provide essential housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including three members of the Family of Man Council.

The Knights’ service included a variety of tasks. Outdoors, they raked and bagged leaves, weeded flower beds, and trimmed shrubbery at both the Colts Neck Court and Underoak Court properties. Inside the Underoak Court home, a team of four Knights took on a painting project, revitalizing the living room and first-floor bathroom.

This annual tradition of community service highlights the Knights’ commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and enhancing the quality of life within their community. The participating Knights included PGK SK Dave Donnelly, PGK SK John Moran, PGK SK John Claman, PGK SK Kevin Kramp, Paul Gormont, Joe Cella, Tom Olszewski, Peter Vigliotti, Roberto Ortuno, SK Jim O’Donnell, Frank Francois, and Eddie Byrne. Their commitment embodies the Knights’ values of service and community support.
