Three Students Receive 2022 Family of Man Council College Scholarships

The Family of Man Council 7566 of the Knights of Columbus in Reston, VA, is pleased to announce the recipients of our 2022 college scholarships. Leo Anthony Weeks, Catherine Marie Claman, and Luke W. Lodge each received a $1,000 scholarship. All three of this year's scholarship recipients highlight an essential teaching of St. Frances De Sales, "Be Who You Are and Be That Well."

June Charity Breakfast to Support the National Capital Area Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association

The Family of Man Council of the Knights of Columbus will hold our June Charity Breakfast on June 12, 2022, between the end of the 7:30 AM Mass and the start of the 11:30 AM Mass. The Knights are dedicating the proceeds from your at-will offerings to the National Capital Area Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Knights Fundraising to Assist the Intellectually Disabled

On May 14 and 15, the Knights of Columbus Council # 7566 will conduct their Spring KOVAR Fund Drive. KOVAR is a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation established by the Virginia Knights of Columbus, dedicated to serving Virginians with intellectual disabilities, regardless of race, creed, color, or religious preference. Members of the Knights of Columbus, their wives, families, and friends will distribute free Welch’s Fruit Snacks packs and accept contributions after that weekend’s Masses.

Family of Man Council Earns the Columbian Award for the 2021-2022 Fraternal Year

The Family of Man Council 7566 of the Knights of Columbus has earned the Columbian Award for the 2021-2022 Fraternal Year from the Supreme Council. This award recognizes excellence in the council’s programming and charitable outreach. To earn this award, the council must conduct and report programs in four program categories (Faith, Family, Community, and Life).

St. Elizabeth Bayley Seton Assembly #1781 Announces 2022 Scholarship for Graduating High School Seniors

The Knights of Columbus, St. Elizabeth Bayley Seton Assembly #1781, has established a Scholarship Grant program to provide a onetime grant of financial assistance to qualified graduating seniors from the parishes served by Assembly who have demonstrated service to his/her community, academic achievement, and plans to pursue higher education.

Knights of Columbus Makes Pledge to Ukraine

The Knights of Columbus announced a commitment of $1 million for immediate distribution to support Ukrainian refugees, including Ukrainian Knights and their families impacted by the recent Russian invasion of their country. The organization has also launched the Ukraine Solidarity Fund, an international fundraising campaign among its members that will match all funds raised up to an additional $500,000.

March 2022 Charity Breakfast for the DeSales Center

The Family of Man Council of the Knights of Columbus will hold our monthly Charity Breakfast on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in the Brown-McCarthy Auditorium, starting after the 7:30 Mass and ending at the start of the 11:30 Mass. The proceeds of your free-will donation will go to support the DeSales Center of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in Childs, Maryland.
